Diego Bautista Urbaneja, the first Grand Master and a prominent Venezuelan jurist, the nascent Obedience initially gathered 18 active lodges, consolidating the foundations of a national Freemasonry committed to the ideals of freedom, justice, and fraternity.      Following the dissolution of Gran Colombia in 1830, the Grand Lodge was refounded on September 9, 1838, again under the aegis of H.·. FREEMASONRY KNOWS NO BORDERS.      On May 24, in the city of Toluca, Mexico.  Alhambra Lodge demonstrated that Masonic fraternity knows no borders and that dedication to our brothers is paramount.       In a remarkable display of fraternity and dedication, the brothers from Alhambra Lodge #322 of Los Angeles, along with brethren from other California lodges traveled to Toluca, Mexico, to confer the degree of Master Mason on three of their Fellowcraft brothers with our California Ritual (USA York Ritual/Preston-Webb) and with the dispensations of the Grand Lodge of California.  MASONIC MISSIONL BROTHERS REACH OUT.      The idea for this event arose when one of Alhambra Lodge's Fellowcraft brothers had to return to Mexico. Los Angeles, Sunday, March 16, 2025, a special commemoration was held at Plaza Mexico in Los Angeles, California, to celebrate the 219th anniversary of the birth of Benito Juarez and the 87th anniversary of the Mexican Oil Expropriation .      The celebration, organized by the Mexican Civic Patriotic Committee, Inc. had the participation of  the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, Maya Lodge #793, California Hispanic & Latin American Research Lodge, prominent leaders and members of the Mexican community in Los Angeles.      During the celebration, a lecture was given by Worshipful Brother Juan Jose Lopez, who in a historical tour recalled the importance of brotherhood and unity in the struggle for the common good.
